todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

for a really good meeting about Step 10 and self-restraint -- some life-changing tools to keep handy throughout the day

... and then a good meeting about Tradition 3 -- the chairperson shared that they were ashamed that this was their 4th attempt at staying sober in the rooms of AA -- I chimed in that they should instead be proud that they Keep Coming Back

that I pretty much practice Step 10 on a constant basis throughout each day

that I turned over the temporary reigns of helping to operate Lambda Center

that Sonny is home (out of the hospital after 4 1/2 weeks) and will celebrate his 24th AA birthday today at the noon meeting (I wouldn't miss this for the world)

for quality time with you-know-who (starts with an H and ends with an N)

that Hayden finally got a professional massage yesterday - his back is was terribly knotted up from working out at the gym

that we have 5 days remaining together and way too many things on the list of to-do's

for the Silent Auction fundraiser tonight to which Scott and I have donated several paintings

that I'm off to NYC next week with another really good friend

It may be that those who do most, dream most.

Thanks for what you said to support the person in their 4th attempt at that meeting. It took courage for them to admit it (don't I know!) and that kind of encouragement is priceless. That's why I love my dAAve!

Sounds like you will be making the most of the 5 days left with Hayden. Hugs to both of you.
I see you both,
JJ

I know y'all will make the most of the remainder of your visit... It sounds like y'all have had a blast.... Good for you encouraging that person to keep coming back... that's the only thing that got my wife to the point she's at now... she spent 6-7 yrs getting sober, going back out, getting sober, going back out... But, she ALWAYS came back, and now she's coming up on 7 yrs sober! wow! keep coming back indeed!

Thank you for telling them to keep coming back. I'm on try 3 myself with 22 months and 8 days... and its THAT kind of welcome and encouragement that kept me coming back. You ROCK!!!!

I cracked up at the pic at the top and the guy on the side bad who drops the square on his head hahahah
and I didnt realize that Hayden wasnt staying.. have a great time with him!!! I am glad about sonny getting how... how is your mom? I am sure still doing good

and Hey keep up working step 10 on a daily basis and keep sharing about that... my favorite line in the BB is "It works, it really does"

I on the other hand... do good with step 10 for awhile... and then (like all things in my life) get overwhelmed and get out of the habit of doing it, but I knwo how good it feels to be doing it regular! so right on Daave.. OH and Happy FRIDAAY!

Rotflmao at the picture. The guy in white has a fat arse and I wouldn't do him with your tackle, sweetie. Lol.

Glad you're getting quality time with YKW.

24 years = Wow x 100.

I need a massage...professional....amateur...I'm not picky.
