that yesterday's 6:30am topic was Tradition Three -- "the only requirement for membership in AA is the desire to stop drinking" -- a friend says that AA can't lower its standards any further than that. LOL
that Ali (the young girl with the black eye 2 weeks ago) made it back to a meeting, albeit shaking very very badly and moving very slowly. I wanted to help but thought she might better identify with a couple of young women from her own generation, so I asked them to speak to her. I hope we see her again today.

omg Dave..you have no idea how much I needed to read that last saying on your post today..My last day at my day job is on Monday.

I can feel your heart when you speak of the young girl shaking at your meeting.I hope you will eventually get a chance to exchange words..You are a very humble human with a great sense of humor and insight to sobriety etc..I bet she would just love you.

i didn't even realize when you left a comment on my blog saying that you missed me that morning that i was supposed to lead the meeting until last night when i dawned on me. i don't know where my head has been!
