that I usually hear what I want to hear
that I often hear what I need to hear
for people who listen twice as much as they talk;
maybe that's why we have 2 ears and 1 mouth
that The Astros are playing so well these past 2 weeks

I like the 2:1 ratio. I struggle with it, tbh. Lmao.
The older I get the worse my actual hearing gets..Yet the better I learn to listen instead of talk-The more I learn.

I would rather listen than have to be the center of attention. I learn much more when I listen to someone besides myself.
