Boxing Day

todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

for the gifts of sobriety, which are much greater than any gifts I have ever had under a Christmas tree

that I got to sleep late yesterday - woke up at 8:30am (that's a miracle, folks!)

for a well-chaired Christmas Day AA meeting by the inimitable Bob S, followed by a pot luck dinner at Lambda Center

that we went to a party at the home of a non-alcoholic -- hardly anyone was drinking alcohol and I thought that was very strange. I never went to those kinds of parties when I was a drinker.

Dave,

Thank you for the quote today! Sometimes I am just still a complete A@&! Christmas was good, but while at my parents I could hear my voice. You know, the one that I don't like, the one I am trying to change. I could hear that negative, self loathing in their voices, the bickering.

It made me edgy, so I did what this program teaches me, I went to a meeting and reached out. We realized that as long as we can hear that today(defects), we can change it (c.d.) and not repeat it (c.d.). No, it's not easy, but I keep trying to do my best, thanks for the reminder.

Love,
Kimberly

I don't want to box with anyone. It sounds like you had a nice Christmas. And that your happiness is apparent.
