Disturbed

For the rest of this week, I'll be posting some rather weird (disturbing?) advertisements from days gone by.
Why?
Because I can.

todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

that even though I am going through a rough patch in my relationship, I have 12 steps to keep me centered

I've used those steps and little sayings enough that they often seems second-nature

that my sponsors (AA & Al Anon) are there when I need them, and I need them lately

that most of my "problems" are minor and would be considered "high class"

Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.

I don't think problems or pain have a class distinction darlin'. If it hurts it hurts..just ask the person with a fresh paper cut.

OMG I'm laughing at this one so I can't wait to see what's next!

Hey, should a man offer a lady a tiperillo?

Hope the rough patch passes quickly.

And I agree, that ad is disturbing. But in the context of the 60s, it wasn't. I remember it.

My septic tank exploded yesterday and now my backyard is one big mushy quagmire. I didn't even stress one bit. That is the gift of my program. The ad is disturbing..yet erotic at the same time. Keep 'em coming (so to speak).

I'm happy to be here.
I'm glad you're here, too.

This is right up there with the ad for the cigarette most smoked by doctors! Thanks for the reminder that we've got the Steps and all of our sayings and program wisdom to get us through any problem, high class or otherwise. Have a good one!

Sorry about the rough patch but glad that you have what it takes to get through to the other side.
