that I consider Step 3 to be a maintenance step -- "Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understand Him." By practicing this step (when I actually do) I can remove the enormous burden that I sometimes feel when I have to control my world.
that I know a common trait amongst alcoholics (especially recovering ones) is that when we find something that works or serves us well, we stop doing it. I must always be aware of this in my own life.
