that when life doesn't go my way, it provides another road to follow
that I'm retired. That is, without a regular job. It amazes me, simply amazes me how my days fill up with so little planning on my part. This is all because I am in recovery. If I were still drinking (and alive) my days would consist of nothing more than staying drunk.

Can you imagine being retired and NOT sober? What a miserable life that would be.

I am glad to be retired but very busy. LOL--my days are so full, I do wonder what it was like when I worked full time too.
A few of us are still left. There is a whole group of other bloggers out there though. But I miss the group that I started with.
Well, I'm not in your 'regular' group, but I am sober...today!
(And retired, with absolutely nothing to do--that's a big LIE.)
My boss said to me yesterday - I don't know how you fit all the things you do into a day.
I thought - EASY, I'm not drinking my face off!
