that even though I'm not super intelligent and book smart, I have some common sense

to hear an AA speaker remind me that I will never meed to drink, no matter what.  I think this is one of the most important messages any of us can pass along.  Seems so simple, but it's something I would never have thought of before I got sober.

for a particular friend of mine, new in recovery.  She is from Aurora, Colorado, having moved here a few months ago.  She is/was friends with 3 of the shooting victims; one of them was killed.  She is obviously grieving but she seems to be handling the situation as well as anyone could be expected to.  Another example for me to record in my little brain.
