to be slowly (very slowly) learning how to live as a sober man

that my addictions and obsessions today are much less life-threatening than my drinking was

If we keep trying, we get a lifetime to learn how to live as sober people. Thank God.

I'm glad you're not learning to live as a sober woman, the bloating is miserable.

I recently heard a lady say she had just gone through the whole 12 steps in 8 days. Can you imagine that. I'm only just starting to work out what some parts of the steps actually mean.

I guess that I'm slowly learning how to live with emotional and spiritual balance. I don't think that I ever learned how before. It will take the rest of my life but is a good "job" to have.
