This is not Houston in the winter.
todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful
that I have everything I need and much more than I can use
that I got to substitute as chair of the noon meeting yesterday -- it was all about Step 1
that there's more than one way to get sober;
I think I picked the best one
that I no longer begin my day with a cigarette and a joint; that I no longer begin drinking alcohol before noon
that there's more than one way to skin a cat;
if you know more than one way, stop it now!!
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

I love Houstons versions of winter.
I miss the morning joint sometimes.
Your cats are safe with me.
Being in Houston this time last year was an amazing experience. 80ยบ and Christmas decorations was something I had never experienced before. Well, with Dave driving me around too! And your round up. And Scott W. And Pammie. Oh, it was just wonderful, and would have been even if it was snowing.
There's lots of ways to get there, but only one way I know to stay. LOL It's good to have lots of experience to count on! :)
Thanks for being one of the experiences I love to witness!
This all sounds like some code talk.
I dislike fishing immensely!
Many years ago, a weird confluence of meteorological events caused the Chesapeake Bay to partially freeze over. I was able to walk out on the ice floes. If you ever get an opportunity like that in Houston, be sure to take pictures.
i love fishing!
Dave your blog is great, i will definitely link to it. I also have a poetry blog on recovery, check it out if you have the time. http://elitepoetz.blogspot.com/
Have a great day, dAAve...
I've never had a joint or a drink between 5 AM and noon. But I have had those in the wee hours of the morning.
Bill, we don't even know floes is spelled with an 'e' and not a 'w'.
