a few simple facts ...

todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

that I'm not just sober, but I'm in recovery

that recovery allows me to handle the difficult times without wanting or needing to drink alcohol

that I found a Higher Power just by being willing and open-minded

for some friends I haven't met yet

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day, saying,
"I will try again tomorrow."

I am grateful to be in recovery too. And friends continue to come in every day.

Sobriety without recovery was always unsustainable for me.

Last night at the AA meeting I lead we celebrated a two year anniversary. The woman told of being lost and walking on a cold rainy night and ending up standing in front of the Alano Club. She had no direction when she left for her walk and some unseen force led her to the doors, and oh how her life has changed! :) have a great weekend!
