Trying to figure it all out
todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful
that Step 4 has really been in my face lately (and that's a good thing)
that I turn my phone OFF or on SILENCE and keep it in my pocket for a full hour during meetings. I am really tired of watching people texting during AA meetings. For all future meetings that I lead as chairperson, I shall ask that everyone refrain from using their phone completely for an hour.
that experience can be a great teacher for those willing to learn
that Hayden and I are able to help someone who's ill and has no family and few friends
The opposite of love is not hate but indifference.

I have seen people texting in Church! It is a crazy thing.
I will pick up my phone during a meeting to annoy a certain person (not you, but I bet you can guess who). Good luck getting people to stop texting.
I saw a guy who was sending and recieving texts during his lead. Loved the Leno, and the quote.
I've seen people play games on their phones during meetings. You can imagine how this sits with me.
How great for you and Hayden to do some service work together. How fortunate for the person you are helping - that you are sober.
Awesome quote. I totally agree with you about the texting during a meeting. How is that different from engaging in conversation or taking a phone call? It sends a message of grandiosity, arrogance, and disrespect. But like The Guru says, good luck getting people to stop! Love ya dAAve!!
I think that cell phones going off in meetings is an annoyance and just plain rude.
Leno, and "Indifference" quote
Both of them get my vote.
On texting:
I do not have a dammm iPOD
So when the lights go out, I nod.
Above po-ems are just to annoy Pam--who won't read them anyway (Good!)

A.D.D. seems to run rampant in peeps in recovery - not ALWAYS - just a personal observation. Sitting STILL is a bitch for some -okay ME. I do not text ever except when I'm driving. JUST KIDDING. seriously, i don't text in any sort of meetings. I do tend to find any kind of distraction rather than JUST SITTING and BEING PRESENT. Something meditation helps with but all us humans seem to have this underlying restlessness that I think aliens looking down on us would describe as just plain WEIRD (see ? there is that WEIRD word again). Parents never say 'johnny was so good today - he just sat in his room peacefully all day doing nothing - just BEING'. SEE? does NOT happen. Sorry i'm off on a tangent. all over texting in meetings.
wait. i just thought of something else. people who talk on cellphones on the treadmill at the gym AND the ones that sit on a machine (the one i want to get on) and TEXT. ummmm, hellloooo?
see? i can't write a short post OR comment. sorry i went on a tangent! i am a spaz.
Its an honest program, I admit I receive texts (on vibrate)from my son who is home alone while I go to meetings. BUT I am discreet about it, and only from him. There I confessed, I feel a whole lot better now.
I ♥ Molly. Keep coming back, girl.
I like the Leno clip, too. How did they get President Lincoln on there?
I don't even know HOW to text. Well, I can do it but I don't know all the short cuts and stuff. I don't really want to know.
