in black and white

todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

for a very peaceful weekend -- I'm really trying to recognize and enjoy my freedom these days

that one of my sponsee's celebrated 6 months of continuous sobriety yesterday -- he's 59 years old and hasn't been sober this long for 40 years.

that PJ (It's a Girl Thing) celebrated 2 years clean and sober on the 10th. She got away from posting on her blog for awhile, but has returned lately. Drop by and wish her well if you get a chance.
it's Findon's (The Rapacious Creditor) 21st sober anniversary. Go by and see him too, but remember he's in the UK, so be prepared to stay awhile.

that an old friend found me on Facebook. She was my prom date back in 1972. Yes! She!! We have written each other and updated on our lives over the past 37 years. She lives in Boulder, Colorado. (I included that last part just for MC)

That "kitten on the keys" photo is really cute. I tried it once...very uncomfortable. But HEY:

No need to seek out a bed
It's wherever I lay my head.

I think that it's nice that you reconnected with someone from your past.
That last quote is great. Especially apropos in these times.

A peaceful weekend is a nice gift to ourselves - and others.

There's a lot of celebrating going on around here! That's a fun way to start the week.

Dave I'm grateful and thankful today as well. It's great seeing others celebrate sobriety anniversaries. I especially like hearing that your 59 year old sponsee celebrated 6 months. It's gives this old 44 year old hope!

Love that quote. I first heard it on an airplane that had just landed in San Fran.

Just told my partner that quote a few days ago and how great it was to hear a Stewardess say, "Now for those of you hear on business, don't forget that...(quote)"

Cool!
