a taxing day

todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

that we finished reading Chapter 8 (To Wives) yesterday at the 6:30am meeting. It contains some great pre-Al-Anon principles.

for my 3 sponsees -- Practical experience shows that nothing will so much insure immunity from drinking as intensive work with other alcoholics. It works when other activities fail. ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, page 89

that my sister has undergone a variety of medical testing lately and has been pronounced cancer-free -- she will require some surgery on her woman parts, but she should be OK. I'm really glad she finally got health insurance last year, otherwise, well, I don't wanna think about it.

for the concept of paying quarterly taxes -- I'm getting a very comfortable refund back. Whooppee!

Great news on your sister being Cancer free. I've lost too many loved ones to that beast. (Hugs)Indigo

Ha! Mary Christine inadvertently posted twice--once for EACH CHECK! Funny...

Ya know dAAve, for years i sorta "went to another meeting" whenever the readin or study was Chapter 8...until about six months ago. FINALLY, it soaked in my thick head, the application of Chapter 8 to my AA program...and it was an 'awakening'!
