The more I miss meetings, the more I miss drinking.
todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful
for laughter in AA meetings
that I have never texted during an AA meeting
that my (projected) schedule can be flexible without me going nuts when there's unexpected changes
that I got this new deodorant and the instructions said….remove cap and push up bottom. I can barely walk but when I fart it smells amazing.
Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid.

I always turn my phone off in the parking lot.
Well, I am not so innocent.
I have texted during meetings and will continue to do so. I encouraged someone to share yesterday after they texted me what I thought was the most important thing left unsaid during that weird meeting. It was the only mention of THE 12 STEPS.
I suspect it may be a generation thing, but I always switch my phone off before going in to the meeting. Its a reflex after years of doing the same for business meetings. I have to admit though I often feel saddened when someone suddenley jumps up in ameeting and goes out to take a call, or they start reading a message or texting. I keep thinking, this is life and death for me so I try and concentrate, why isn't it so for some others. I don't have the answer apart from, never eat with your mouth open, never talking with a mouth full of food, cover your mouth when coughing, let ladies have the seat, respect the old. Maybe I'm just too old.
I just love the way you find humor in everyday things. Bottoms up!
I shut off my phone. I feel connected enough at a meeting not to need a phone.
The deodorant thing is a hoot. Was the smell Active Sport?
I would drive across town to sit next to you in an AA meeting...
Blessings and aloha...
I'm a "follower" today. "Right behind ya, Dude."
Great quote... The more I miss meetings, the more I misplace myself.
Great pic.

I'm amazed how often, whether in an AA or an Alanon mtg, it is the people who present as most stressed who jump to run out and answer the phone. Are they still on their way to Step One?
It's a good thing I wasn't taking a drink of water as I read your list. My laptop would be splattered. Thanks for the laugh!
i confess, i've done it... one time.
i felt so bad about it i said eighty thousand hail marys after.
