My, Me

todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

that we read "Me an Alcoholic?" yesterday morning in our Big Book study. A few high points and realizations from that story ...

... I'm no longer a coin with two faces
... the insidiousness of alcoholism is an appalling thing
... as the author wrote about his last drinking binge, he said, "it is impossible to reproduce my despair."
... I knew from my general reading that alcoholism was irrevesible and fatal.

that I learned many years ago that when I teach something, I learn a lot more about it

for the crazy laughter I experience and observe in AA meetings

that I'm comfortable being home, by myself

We only go around once. There's really no time to be afraid. So stop. Try something you’ve never tried. Teach it. Do it. Risk it.

is the restaurant in Houston? It looks similar to one I ate in when I was down there last...

When I teach violin, I learn what my teachers years ago were trying to show me/tell me.

Glad I won't be visiting my dung today.

I was remembering you returning to the lobby the other day because you couldn't contain your giggling. That was SO FUNNY!

Is that restaurant owned by Who Flung Dung?

I also learned a lot from teaching. And hopefully will get to do some more of that soon.
