Progress, in several forms

todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

that I have found myself able to surrender some more of my so-called independence.  I don't care to go into detail on this blog, but suffice it to say that I have granted my life-partner some financial liberties that  I would never have done before now.  Maybe it's part of the aging process.

that I am aware that much of the time, I either don't understand or don't perceive correctly

for more time spent with my friend who lived through his last suicide attempt 5 weeks ago.  He is recovering nicely at the TIRR.  That's where Congressperson Gabby Giffords did her rehab last year after being shot.  It's absolutely amazing to watch the resilience of the human body.

Never believe that a few caring people can't change the world. For, indeed, that's all who ever have.

I am glad your friend is recovering. It sounds like he has got his will to live back.

When I was studying suicides extensively at the hospital, I found that most research states that nearly 100% of suicides change their minds. The worst image for me is that of someone who jumped off a bridge and changed his mind. Awful!

He is your life partner. And thinking of him financially is good. I am still saddened by the vote in NC. So much fear.
