The Day Before Saturday

Michael Vick, pro football quarterback, is under indictment for direct participation in a large dogfighting scandal. I guess what comes around, goes around.

todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

that my self-esteem seems to be increased by some new boundaries I've followed

that I am not mean nor heartless

that I am able to remain fairly well-centered in my recovery program because I do the things that have been suggested instead of trying to reinvent the wheel

that my sobriety is not threatened by those who relapse; in fact, it is made stronger

for a really good talk with my therapist, who assured me I have acted appropriately this week in regards to the way I have handled my personal life

Mr Daave. Sorry to hear of you and H. Your higher power will look after you through this difficult time. And we are thinking of you. When we do the right things. the right things DO happen. This is what I have found. Something better is wating for you.
You have a very active commitment to both AA and service work, and these will be your anchor and keep you afloat, in the strange way that they do.

I wanted to jump up and cheer after your share yesterday. I hope that's not cross-talk! LOL Seriously, that was good stuff. From everyone. Well, just about everyone.

Although I did not know you pre-sobriety...my guess would be that a therapist telling you that you had behaved appropriatly...was probably UN-HEARD OF.
We are one lucky group of people to have somehow managed to latch on to this thing and hold tight.

Daave, what would I do without you trudging with me. Thanks for your fellowship and guidance. I may have more time, but you share your quality time with me.
