I hear many people complain about other drivers talking on their cell phones while driving. This goes for texting as well, which must be much much more dangerous. This video PSA from the UK has been making the rounds. It's very graphic, but goes right to the point.

that Andrew E. shared what it was like, what happened and what it's like now as his experiences apply to the 12 steps
that I tend to use all of the 12 steps to maintain my recovery, not just steps 10-12
that I do my best (usually) to Keep It Simple
for the Double Winner Al-Anon group that meets on Wednesday nights
And the day came when the risk it took to remain tight inside the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.

Today's video you posted for me.
I saw that on 60 minutes on Sunday. Very sobering.
really good to see/hug you last night!
Blossoming is painful at times, but it sure is worth it.
Glad that you are still going to the Double Winner group. I think that all the steps are there for a reason. But sometimes I lean most heavily on Steps 3 and 10-12.
OK - I get it...
Thanx...
Blessings...
Texting while driving is illegal here in CA, but I see it still happening all the time. Sounds like the double winner meeting is growing on you...glad you came back!
I heard a report mentioned on the radio that said texting while driving causes as many accidents as drinking & driving.
And I'll bet that boy who fancied her will never ask her out now.
Hi dAAve-I just saw this elsewhere today. WOW. We had an accident here a few years back where 4 or 5 teens were killed. The driver was texting. Horrifying.
Rivoting video -- I'm going to show it to my daugthter.
Thanks for the tip on the music on my blog too -- I took it off :)

i will never text and drive again!! ugh!!
There was a huge train crash in Southern California last fall (?) in which the train operator was texting.
Also, a new study (but of course I can't remember where I saw it now) found that drivers with a .08 BAC level were able to stop sooner and turn to avoid obstacles more smoothly than a driver who was sober, but texting.
