freedom and willingness

todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

that I am almost always willing to find the solution

for the freedom that the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous gave us to have a Higher Power of our own understanding and to establish a conscious contact in our own way

that I now have an Al-Anon sponsor and am ready to begin learning the steps

that this cold weather will pass -- we are NOT used to freezing temperatures here

If your success is not on your own terms, if it looks good to the world but does not feel good in your heart, it is not success at all.

Freedom and Willingness. I never realize one would help obtain the other. Thanks. Have a great day.

Thank God I do not have success on my own terms. It would have meant an alcoholic death.

I am also grateful for the founders of AA and their wives. And I am so happy you found an Alanon sponsor. It's like they say, any old drunk can get into AA but you have to know someone to be in Alanon. :-D

Welcome and I'm glad your here.

I'm late, but want you to know I understand how sad and senseless it is when someone takes their life. The willingness is a hard fought battle for many.

I'm really glad to hear about your having an Al-Anon sponsor and working the steps. That is great.

Can I just tell you that the Anna Quindlen quote stopped me dead in my tracks for a few minutes. It is really touching something deep inside me. Thank you.

I think of freedom differently now. The 3rd Step Prayer runs through my head a lot during the day.

Stay warm. Avoid frostbite. If your feet get cold, ask Scott W to rub them.
