a very nice weekend

Yesterday, I went to The 2010 Houston International Boat, Sport & Travel Show. It's the largest boat show on the Gulf Coast with more than 1,000 powerboats, luxury yachts, sailboats, and personal watercraft, plus over 300 exhibits. They had a few "antique" boats and this 1946 Chris Craft was my favorite. It reminds me of the boat used in the movie, On Golden Pond.

that my friend Gary is blogging these days. If you haven't discovered him, find him at GARYTUDE.

for some really good workouts at the gym lately

that yesterday was a really lovely day to run in (I didn't) or watch (I did) the Chevron Houston Marathon. The winning time was 2 hours, 7 minutes and 37 seconds.

I love that boat! We saw one similar to that on Lake Conroe once. A real beauty. Happy Day!

I am hopeful to get my marathon time under 7 hours. And it may not happen.

I have never tasted children so I have no idea if they are sweet or not.

Didn't Chris Craft star in all-male movies?

That really is a sensational boat, and the old wooden ones require hardly any maintenance. You should buy one.

I learned to waterski behind a Chris Craft in 1969 with my dad at the wheel. Some of my best memories. Katherine Hepburn is an idol of mine. She used her gifts.

I would have liked that show. There are a few old Chris Craft boats at a show I go to. They are awesome.

Look carefully at the higher end of the old Chris Craft fleet - skill and workmanship like that is rare today - anywhere.

Blessings and aloha...

Thanks for the words about Dr. King today. It's always awe inspiring to me how so much can be accomplished by those acting on their convictions. Whether its Dr. King, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela or any number of others, the power of the individual can move mountains. Certainly none of these people did it alone, but they all provided a spark that ended up changing the world.
