For some reason that only our HP knows, we "connected" early in sobriety and have stayed sober while our friendship has evolved. We can talk frankly and honestly with each other. We have travelled to New York City together. We attend AA meetings and lunch or dinner afterward. We have even shopped together. Scott has visited my Mom and my sister in their respective homes. He even built me a desk.
But the main reason I
Today, Scott celebrates THREE YEARS as a sober man. I am so grateful to be able to call Scott my friend.

Happy birthday Mr. W. Every year on my sober birthday, I like to grab a sponsee or a close friend, and do the 3rd step prayer together..on our knees, just to re-affirm the coming year. Third Birthdays Rock!

While I cant possibly share with y'all all that you share with each other since I am a bit too far away, I still love both you guys and consider you good friends... I love that about AA... we have that deep spiritual instant connection... Thanks to both of you for being my friends!
