My Will?
Since coming into the program of AA and recovery, I have at times wondered if I am doing what my HP would have me doing.
I wondered if I was supposed to be working again. ie: get a job
My sponsor told me to just continue doing what I'm doing. He said it would all become clear some day. I have since come to the conclusion that when I am doing The Next Right Thing, I am in God's will.
Ask Him in your morning meditation what you can do each day for the man who is still sick.

For many years I pondered over God's will for me, believing that perhaps a great destiny had been ordained for my life. After all, having been born into a specific faith, hadn't I been told early that I was "chosen"? It finally occurred to me, as I considered the above passage, that God's will for me was simply that I practice Step Twelve on a daily basis.

I find that when I remain open to Divine direction and focus on extending love to everyone I encounter or think about, I will always find myself on the right track.
It is my belief that God's will for us is simply to be happy and to be in unity with the Divine in all of us.
For reasons not yet apparent, you are exactly where you need to be.

I think that sometimes dAAve, it's easier to figure out what's NOT God's Will for me that what is, lol!! Doing the next right thing sure helps,a nd feels peaceful too!
That is the ticket my friend.
The old timers I knew used to always say that the statement 'We are SURE God wants us to be happy, joyous, and free.' p133 meant that if i WAS truly 'happy joyous and free' then I MUST be doing gods will. you can also use it in a relative sense, meaning whichever choice yields the MOST 'happy joyous and free' feelings, is CLOSER to gods will than the choice that yields LESS 'happy joyous and free' feelings. The programme is feeling-led for me rather than ideas-led. So my 'inner condition' is my guide. meaning my feelings, or concience, or heart. Another thing they used to always say when someone was agonising over alternative choices, was 'Just do what makes you feel COMFORTABLE'. This never lets me down and always seems to guide me to the most compassionate and honest choice.
Good.
Keep it simple... eh?
Well most definately you got our #1 job down, maintaining your sobriety.
Doing the next right thing and not doing the next wrong thing.
Sounds like the right thing to me.
