OK. I got tagged to list 10 honest things about myself. However, I am not going to tag anyone else or provide any links. So, here goes...
- I have never been a good liar.
- I have never been a good poker player (because I'm not a good liar, I suppose).
- I was never in denial about being an alcoholic.
- My mother and I were always very close, even throughout my drinking years. Since she died in August (4 months ago), I have not shed a tear. I don't know why.
- I have always been anal-retentive.
- I'm afraid of horses and snakes.
- I sucked my thumb until I was about 10 years old.
- When I wrecked my Mom's car at the age of 16, I lied and said I swerved to avoid a dog. Of course, I had been drinking.
- I had the hots for a camp counsellor. At church camp. I was 14. He was grown.
- I almost became a professional baseball umpire, but my instructors said I was too nice to be an umpire.
Always hold your head up, but be careful to keep your nose at a friendly level.

Nice to know more about you. I didn't cry when my mom died 12 years ago, nor to this day over her. I don't know why either. jeNN
Good List Dave!
It I would have known you in your #10. years - I could have instructed you on the "art" of being mean. damn.
Liar, liar, pants on fire!
Here, have a Friday hug. It's free.
good stuff
I agree with the instructors.
There is a germ of truth in all that...
There was a time in my early 20's I would have made a damn good professional umpire!
Well, I could umpire today--DAMN IT!
I was never in denial about being an alcoholic...
but I was sure in denial about LOADS of other behaviors! -grin
Good list Dave. I see quite a few similarities: love of our mothers, not being a good poker player, having the hots for camp councilor. Thanks for sharing.
dear dAAve,
thanks for the tidbits about yourself in the questions. Very honest and insightful. It's always a pleasure to get to know you better.
Happy Saturday. Love you.
You've always been "anal-whaaa"?
Maybe you should borrow Scott W.s new shirt to smother out the flames on your pants.
i like your list, but the fear of snakes made me laugh :)
