Beginning another week of retirement

Elvis and MJ have been found alive (click on the picture to enlarge)

todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

that my current job is practicing the steps of Alcoholics Anonymous

that my obsessions today are much less fatal than drinking alcohol (the way I drank it)

for a no-drama life these days

that we had a fun surprise birthday party for Bob S., (33 years sober), who celebrated his 86th year on Earth last Friday

that the Not Ready For Sobriety players presented a preview of their play on Saturday as a Lambda fundraiser. They will perform it again next July in San Antonio at the 2010 Alcoholics Anonymous International Convention.

that I've been making an effort to work outside (yard work) for at least an hour each day, even in this atrocious heat

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

And you have a lovely tan to prove it.

I've had no drama for a few days too. It is great. The photo is great. I had a big laugh.

Thanks Dave, for being here everyday. I'm trying to get a little of that gratitude to rub off.

Hmm. I still have to watch my obsessions in recovery, albeit I limi my chemical fixes to cigs and coffee.

My head is full of treacle at the moment. Back to the source (Big Book).

I'm just grateful that there are a few men who look worse than I do in bikini briefs...

Blessings and aloha...
