Surprise!!

todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

that most of my "sins" today are those of omission rather than commission

that my friend Norris is getting out and about more often after being ill for the past 6 or 7 months

that I have NO desire to go to a bar any more. It seems like a lot of my friends-in-recovery are going out to bars. When I sit and analyze that, I realize that many of them are chronic relapsers. Definitely a pattern there.
hmmmmmmmmmmm

that my friend Zane is celebrating another (belly button) birthday today -- he's 29 39 49 59 older than me

I also stay far away from bars... there is no good reason for me to go there. The price could be more than I want to pay.

If you don't want to drink then stay away from the bars. Seems easy enough right?

I have not been in a bar (other than passing through one in a restaurant on the way to a table) since 1998.

I've heard if you hang out long enough in a barbershop, eventually you're gonna get a haircut. Bars still scare me to death...no thanks. I'd rather be with a sober bore than a drunk.....anyday.

I don't go to bars but do go to restaurants that have them.

I'll have to go say Happy B-day to Zane.

Tall Karen: Is THAT where I should get a haircut!?!?

Other topic: I see more and more young peeps thinking it's Ok to go "out" as before...because "(I'm well now, haven't drank since 80)--that's 80 days ago. Oboy!

Thanks for the heads up on Zane! I'll slip over there straightaway to wish him a Happy Happy!

Thanks for the ShoutOut. Yeah, I have NO reason to go to a bar. I just have no reason to go to a death watch.

I never went to bars when I was drinking so it's not a problem for me to stay away from them.

I can't imagine wanting to go "hang out" at a bar. It's like hanging out at the swimming pool and expecting to stay dry. not too likely....

...or playing in a manure pile, and expecting to smell sweet! (Yep, I'm afraid so...quit throwing stuff, guys!)
