Inner Resources

"With few exceptions our members find that they have tapped an unsuspected inner resource which they presently identify with their own conception of a Power greater than themselves."
ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, page 567

That has certainly been my experience. Because I pushed the concept of a Higher Power away from my thoughts and consciousness for all of my life, this inner resource never had the chance to make itself known to me. With sobriety and some clarity of thinking, my inner resource(s) have the opportunity to reveal themselves, in numerous, unsuspected ways.
It's my duty to myself to remain open minded and willing to receive. When I do, I grow.

Your thoughts?

I agree 110% dAAve... I have to remain open to any possibilities these days, especially when it comes to asking for and receiving the Will and Grace of my HP. Funny thing is, like you, I found that HP was within me and all around me all the time.

My life has been non-stop (well almost non-stop) change since I entered AA and began recovering from my alcoholism and drug addiction.

Great Post!

It is unbelievable what "I" can do with God's help. Like stay sober one day at a time.

My "inner resource" was Pam. It was great to finally get her out of the way, and find that my HP was much more in tune with what was best for me. I now trust that "inner voice".

A tough one. And one which deserves more thought. I'll have to come back to you on this.

I know what I want to say but I'm not sure how to say it succinctly and accurately.

I agree with you, dAAve. Without Allah swt, there will be NO possibilities open for me on My Journey To Recovery.

Greeting from Malaysia.

When we are only thinking of ourselves how could anything else fit in? Now you are open to greater things, and living the result of it today.
