on second thought ...

HOPE

"Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope or confidence." -- Helen Keller

"Expect to have hope rekindled. Expect your prayers to be answered in wondrous ways. The dry seasons in life do not last. The spring rains will come again." -- Sarah Ban Breathnach

"Everything that is done in the world is done by hope." -- Martin Luther

"The very least you can do in your life is to figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is live inside that hope. Not admire it from a distance but live right in it, under its roof." -- Barbara Kingsolver

todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

that my morning coffee provides grounds for serenity and peace

that I went to a Monday night AA meeting @ Lambda because I missed my regular noontime meeting

that I went shopping with my bathroom contractor to pick out fixtures and tiles for the next project, which begins tomorrow!

I should have pictures of the first bathroom (completed) this week

for some needed rain overnight and waking up to cool (for Houston) temps

It is a curious thought, but it is only when you see people looking ridiculous that you realize just how much you love them.
-Agatha Christie

I think it's funny, how true that last quote really is.
Can't wait to see the bathroom pics. Buy hey Dave....don't have someone sitting on the pot in the pictures...OK?

Sounds as if you may be hopeful today.

No wonder people say they realize they love me!

And you too!

Good quotes on hope. It's something that keeps me going. Rain at night is a pleasant thing.

Grounds

Boom! Tish! You have a career on the stage beckoning...

I could have a lot of fun kitting out your bathroom. Not sure how practical it would be for bathing purposes, mind you.

That's funny, because the word "grounds" can mean "basis." Or it can mean the small parts of coffee left over from the grinding process.
