todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

that sometimes I Think, Think, Think

that I heard a good AA story on Saturday, although it was a little difficult for me to follow

to know that my perceptions are usually the cause of my lack of serenity

for the nurses and their assistants who take care of my Mom. They don't get much recognition, it seems to me. She continues to live, although I think she is about to die at any time. She can barely acknowledge my presence but seems to be in little or no pain.

for a very short Lambda Board meeting

that I don't automatically just believe anything the news media tries to make me think; I am constantly amazed at the gullibility of people I consider friends, who just believe everything they hear, read, watch. Most of the "news" we see these days should be reclassified as "opinions."

It is not the cards you are dealt but what you do with them that counts.

I wonder how much the political pundits have/will influence the outcome of the upcoming election. Put any idiot in business drag and they are allowed to over-analyze and second-guess on national television.
The same holds true for American journalism in general. But, no worries, really, since We, the People seem to enjoy being fed a load of crap.

The only talking heads I really care for is the band led by David Byrne.

Talking heads... David Byrne. Love them.

Also danced with one of my favorite anchormen at my niece's wedding... loved that!

My Grandfather (the real one) always said never believe anything you hear and only half of what you see.

It seems all based on opinion and stretching of facts. I'm tired of the whole lot in DC.

how do you know you're not the one who is gullible and that you indeed have the facts? just curious how you know for sure you're so RIGHT?
