that I'm no longer managed by alcohol
that my (writing about) Gratitude for today is being replaced this CHILI RECIPE.
Syd inspired me to copy and paste it here, just for you guys.
1-2 lbs ground round
1 can tomato paste
1 – 10 oz can tomato
1 can peeled tomato
1 large green pepper
1 large white onion
2 stalks celery
2 jalapeno peppers
½ potato
1 can Budweiser (optional, of course)
1 shot olive oil
1 envelope chile mix
1 envelope taco mix
½ tsp oregano
½ tsp thyme
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp bay leaves
½ tsp grated parmesian
½ tsp salt
lightly brown the hamburger, drain grease
add the meat and tomato to water and bring to boil
simmer for 1 hour (leave top of container ¼ open to allow
condensation to evaporate)
Add:
Chopped pepper, onion, celery, jalapeno, diced potato, chile mix, taco mix, olive oil, spices
Add enough water to make it like soup, bring to boil, simmer 1 hour
Now add the beer and parmesian
After 1 hour, let it cool and put in refrigerator over night before serving
Get rich quick! Count your blessings!

Wow. That recipe has lots of stuff in it!
I already told Syd those chili spices repeat on me thus rendering me way too vulnerable to indigestion.
The Get Rich Quick quote was a great way to look at life. (Hugs)Indigo
