A very old advert

that I still enjoy posting to this little blog/website every day. The dynamics have changed over the years. We used to have a much more close-knit group of recovery bloggers who supported each other through our comments. It was common for me to receive 10-15 comments every day. Some of us even travelled and got to know each other. Most of those guys and gals have stopped blogging. My daily recovery misses them. Today I rarely get more than 1 or 2 comments and really don't feel the closeness that I used to. But that doesn't stop me because I do this for me. If anyone reads it, great.
If anyone comments, so much the better. Feedback is good.

Life isn't about finding yourself.
Life is about creating yourself.

Yes, I miss that too. I don't feel as connected with those who blog now. It has a different feel to it. Almost like they are lookers on.

I just found your blog a few weeks ago, and I've really enjoyed it. I find inspiration and support for my recovery here. I left treatment at the end of January, and I am almost 6 months sober today. I haven't commented before because I never know whether comments on blogs are a welcomed thing or an annoyance! ;)

I think there were only about 7 or 8 of us a few years ago and now there are so many to read ya know? I had hoped to meet a lot of the bloggers in San Antonio but that didn't happen. I'm trying to find my way back in but changing my URL doesn't help! I read but don't comment so many times and I think I'll try to comment more mr. dave.

I just want you to know that your blog is a daily read for me. Often I have nothing to comment...but I'm so glad it's here ;)

i love your blog - your cartoons cheer me up, your gratitude inspires me and your wise sayings give me pause for thought. i read blogs in google reader so i have to click around a bit to leave comments and i am too lazy sometimes. but i will try to comment more; not just on yours but on others that i read. thank you mr dave!
