My Mom, the Sunbeam

Mom with her only son on her 82nd birthday, just a little more than 3 years ago. This was just a few months before her devastating stroke.

todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

for another peaceful day yesterday; Mom would be proud of me

for the nearly overwhelming number of messages of support I've received the past 3 days from friends and acquaintenances

that we're off soon to the church for Mom's Memorial Service

for Hayden's immense help these past few days preparing for the service

that I don't need to say any more today

The race is not always to the swift, but to those who keep on running.

That is a picture to treasure! Thanks for sharing it with us.

I'll be thinking of you today. I told Scott to give you a hug from me, so be sure you snag one from him. I'll be celebrating your mom's life from afar.

Hi dAAve - I love the way you have chosen to memorialize your mother the past few days. It makes me want to see more photos, to know more about her.

And dAAve, you look happy, healthy, and serene in this photo. What a wonderful gift your sobriety is for your mother.

Big hugs from Minnesota - PP

Your comments today at the memorial service were touching. I don't know how you did that without your voice cracking. I was tearing up even though the little girl in front of me was acting up and making lots of noise. But I was good and did not pinch her behind the arm to quit it.
