Success, Sponsors & Serenity

"The real measure of your wealth is how much you'd be worth if you lost all your money."
-- Bernard Meltzer

"The most absurd and reckless aspirations have sometimes led to extraordinary success."
-- Vauvenargues

"Success is living up to your potential. That’s all. Wake up with a smile and go after life & Live it, enjoy it, taste it, smell it, feel it."
– Joe Kapp

"Personal satisfaction is the most important ingredient of success."
-- Denis Waitley

todAAy i AAm grAAteful & thAAnkful

that today I will do my best to do my best; when I fail, I don't have to be my worst

for prayer when I wake up and prayer when I go to bed and for prayer at anytime in between

that I had a really nice breakfast and chat with my sponsor yesterday

that of about 40 people at the noon meeting yesterday, I did not know 8 of them

that I continue to wander around my Serenity Zone all day, every day

that I was built in America

for IMAGINATION (click on the word)

A woman was in a coma, she had been in it for months. Nurses were in her room giving her a blanket bath. One of them was washing her private area and noticed that there was a slight response on the monitor when she touched her. They tried it again and sure enough there was a small, recognizable movement. They went to her husband and explained what happened, telling him, "As crazy asthis sounds, maybe a little oral sex will do the trick and bring her out of the coma." The husband was skeptical, but they assured that they'd close the curtains for privacy. The husband finally agreed and went into his wife's room. After a few minutes the woman's monitor flat lined, no pulse, no heart rate. The nurses run back into the room. "What happened!?" they cried.
The husband said, "I'm not sure, maybe she choked".

Yall have a GREAT weekend!!

I like the Kapp statement on success. Life is meant to be lived with as much fervor as we can muster. The How Men Think commentary made me laugh.

Like it. Money and staus still means [somekind of] security/affirmation to me. I'm trying hard to get away from the breadhead mindset. :(

Cackled at the orl sex joke.

Thanks for making me think/laugh/helping me stay sober for another day.
