Thanks for the report on Galveston. I have wondered how it is recovering. My short visit there left an impression. I thought it was wonderful.
So, did you find out why center was spelled 'senter'? Just leave me hanging why don't you?
I looove Col. Bubbies! My husband was on an aircraft carrier that has been dry docked (USS Independence) and I found a hat and t-shirt from the ship there for my husband.
I plan on visiting Galveston in Sept., I hope the great old homes were not destroyed.
"Senter" is "The Army Way" to spell it. Dictionaries are incorrect, the bastards!
Galveston was really whacked hard by the storm. I hope that things can be rebuilt, but I too doubt that such damage can ever be repaired totally.
Hey Buddy... Congrats on your impressive day count and the reminder that it's a day at a time... I was in Galveston a few times when it was part of the weekly port of call for one of the ships I used to work. Glad to hear it's coming along...
I don't remember it being spelled senter...it was the 'Recruiting Scenter'.
