VISUALIZE YOUR PERFECT DAY
by Mark Victor Hansen

Every person on the earth has the same number of hours in the day to work with. I have 24 hours, Bill Gates has 24 hours and so do you. It is up to each individual to decide how to occupy every minute. We can waste our days sleeping late, watching television, hating our jobs and wishing for a better life. Or we can spend most of the time we have been given creating that better life – a world devoted to improving ourselves and the lives of others.

How do you want to spend your days?

You have the power to live each day exactly the way you want to live it. Think about that - the resources to create the life you desire lie within your mind.

for a very good meeting about Step 10 -- and that I realize that I often do not know when I have offended or wronged another person

The measure of a life, after all, is not its duration, but its donation.

It is becomin increasingly clear that we experience the world and our lives through our thoughts. So I just want to have healthy thoughts that lead to a happy, loving and joyous days.

Here's a quote from Grandma Moses: "I look back on my life like a good day's work; it was done and I am satisfied with it."

I like to spend my days being useful in my job, with my family, with my AA community.

I have the same hours as Bill Gates? Who knew! Awesome post!

Thanks for reminding us about how valuable a day, an hour, and a minute can be. Life can and does change in a split second. I don't want to waste any of my days being angry, wanting to be someone I'm not or holding onto grudges.

quite guilty of this myself. i am fairly certain it stems from never learning about boundaries until i got sober.
